Question

How visible is my research in Federation.figshare and who can access it?

Last updated: Jun 24, 2026    5 views

Your files in Federation.figshare remain private until you publish them. Only you can see them, unless you choose to share access with collaborators within a project to support teamwork.

Once published, your research is openly available online and can be reused under the licence you choose (e.g. Creative Commons).

Published Federation.figshare records are indexed by services such as Trove, Google, figshare.com, Research Data Australia, re3data, and Google Datasets to help your work reach a wider audience. You can improve discoverability by using clear, specific keywords and completing as much metadata as possible.
