Can I print from a laptop or personal device?

Please follow the link to instructions available at the ITS Help page for the new Mobility Print service.

This will enable you to add Federation University print queues to your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) by downloading the Papercut application and printer will be added as an option in Office 365.

Please go to Printing from a personal device for the full instructions.

Alternatively, log on to 'Papercut' by going to https://papercut.federation.edu.au/ Once authenticated go to the 'Submit Print' tab.

You have the ability to upload a print document, choose the output options and submit your document to a 'Papercut' print queue. Print jobs will sit in the queue for 12 hours before being deleted, so you do not have to release them right away at a printer.

Am I eligible for free printing?

Free printing is available for the following students:

  • HDR (Higher Degree by Research) students – Masters & PhD

  • TAFE students

If you are eligible for free printing your student card will allow you to print or copy free of charge - you do not need to load money to Papercut.

If you are having difficulty printing free of charge you can submit a ticket through the ITS Service Hub: https://federation.service-now.com
